Autor(es): GUEDES, Regis José da Cunha Abstract: This study was carried out from the corpus of Atlas Linguístico do Português em Áreas Indígenas (ALiPAI) [the Linguistic Atlas of Portuguese in Indigenous Areas] project, aiming to demonstrate the influence of the diaethnic variable on the mapped data of five indigenous communities studied: : Suruí Aikewára, Asuriní do Tocantins, Tembé, Guajajára and Guaraní Mbyá. The theoretical-methodological assumptions that guided its elaboration were Geossociolísguistica (Razky 1998) and Dialetologia Pluridimensional e Relacional (Radtke e Thun 1996). Data were collected in loco from the application forms prepared by the Comitê Nacional do Atlas Linguístico do Brasil (ALiB, 2001) [The National Committee of the Linguistic Atlas of Brazil], with adaptations, plus other data forms: Questionário Semântico-Lexical (QSL) [Semantic-Lexical Form], Questionário Fonético-Fonológico (QFF) [Semantic-Lexical Form], Questionário Fonético-Fonológico Complementar (QFFC) [Complementary Phonetic-Phonological Form], Questionário Sociolinguístico (QS) [Sociolinguistic Form]. The inquiry points are five indigenous communities located in the state of Pará and Maranhão, with ten contributors planned for each one. Contributors are stratified by sex (male and female) three age groups (5 to 10 years old, 18 to 37 y.o. and 47 to 75 y.o.) and two schooling levels (from iliterate to elementary school and from high school to college education). With regard to methodology is, at first, a literature search, because we use based on the point of view of different authors contained in books, scientific article, website etc. Then we had a field research, with the use of questionnaires with open-ended questions, which were applied to the following audiences: an educator, five from Pará and cordelistas two researchers of the subject string.
